John Risley

John Risley is the Chairman and President of CFFI Ventures Inc., an active investment/holding company with major investments in Seafood Harvesting and Processing (Clearwater Seafoods Limited), telecommunications, biotechnology, software development, life sciences, financial services, waste management and energy development, construction, generation and distribution. John serves on the Board of Directors of several private, not-for-profit and public companies including Clearwater Seafoods and Futurpreneur Canada. Mr. Risley was named an Officer of the Order of Canada and was inducted into the Nova Scotia Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame in 1997. A renowned entrepreneur and public policy advocate, he has received numerous awards including Atlantic Canadian Entrepreneur of the Year and a Canada Award for Business Excellence in Entrepreneurship. He is also a graduate of Harvard University’s President’s Program and Leadership.

Brendan Paddick

Brendan Paddick is the chairman of Columbus Capital Corporation, a private investment company based in Freeport, Bahamas. He is the the founder and former chairman and chief executive officer of Columbus International Inc., a diversified telecommunications company based in Barbados. Columbus provided digital cable television, broadband Internet and digital landline telephony throughout the Caribbean under the brand name FLOW and next generation connectivity and IT solutions, managed networking, cloud-based services, wholesale capacity, IP services and data center hosting throughout 42 countries in the greater Caribbean, Central American and Andean region under the brand, Columbus Networks. In March 2015, Columbus merged with Cable & Wireless Communications PLC in a transaction that valued Columbus at over CDN$4.4 billion (US$3.3 billion). Mr. Paddick holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Master of Business Administration from Memorial University of Newfoundland and graduated from the Advanced Management Program at Harvard University. Mr. Paddick has extensive capital market experience and was selected as one of Canada’s Top 40 under 40 in 2000. He was named Ernst & Young’s Atlantic Canadian Business-to-Business Entrepreneur of the Year in 2011, is a member of the Atlantic Business Hall of Fame and was honoured as Memorial University’s Alumnus of the Year in 2013.

Stan Spavold

Stan Spavold is an FCA and has been the Executive Vice President of Clearwater Fine Foods Incorporated (CFFI) since 2002. Stan has been part of a small team at CFFI, a diversified holding company with major holdings including Seafood, Telecommunications and Biotechnology. CFFI has over $2.3 billion of assets under management. Working alongside the President of CFFI, Stan provides financial management and executive oversight at Clearwater. Stan was previously at McCain Foods Limited for 15 years as a senior financial officer. Stan has extensive public board experience and is currently serving on the board of Clearwater Seafoods Limited as Chairman of their finance committee and member of the governance and audit committees. Stan has also served in various leadership roles on the Board of Directors of several public and private companies. In February 2011 Stan received the FCA honorary designation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nova Scotia. He is active in a member of not-for-profit organizations in his community, having served as a Governor of Dalhousie University, Chairman of The Cobequid Hospital Foundation and Governor of the Tax Foundation of Canada.

Peter Langenhan

Peter Langenhan is the co-founder and President of EPTCON Ltd. and President of OneLine Engineering. Peter has over 40 years of extensive experience in the design, engineered equipment manufacture, construction and in service of high voltage infrastructure including substations of all sizes, transmission & distribution lines, HV and MV cable installations, protection, control, telecom installations, and SCADA systems. Peter has worked hands on in manufacturing and construction in the Power Sector as well as in varying management roles, in every aspect, thereof. Peter is a graduate from the Municipal Electric Association Training Program through Ontario Hydro's Training and Development Centre for Substations and Transmission Lines.

Adnane Rakib

Adnane is the President of PowerTel and PowerTraxx. He has established himself as a strong leader in the Power Sector construction. Prior to joining Columbus Utility Services, Adnane was the Vice President of Operations at Forbes Bros. where he managed over $300M in projects value and over 600 people per year. Prior to his time at Forbes, Adnane led many projects with Kiewit across Canada and Vinci overseas on Power, Infrastructure, and Mining sectors. Adnane is a Professional Engineer who holds a B.Eng. in Civil Engineering from L’ECOLE MOHAMMADIA DES INGENIEURS of Morocco and a Kellogg EMBA from Northwestern University of Chicago.

John MacKinnon

John MacKinnon is a Principle and Vice President with Columbus Utility Services. John has held various business development roles in the utility construction industry for the past 10 years. Prior to Columbus John held business development and project management roles at the energy conglomerate Emera. John has extensive experience with EPC transmission, distribution, substation, and telecommunications projects. Prior to joining the utility construction industry, John was a Manager in Deloitte’s Strategy and Operation Practice. John holds a Master of Business Administration from Queen’s University and Bachelor degrees from St. Francis Xavier University and Dalhousie University.
